Mechanical Insulation Installer

Colorado Mechanical Systems in a full mechanical company who has a team dedicated to self-preforming all mechanical insulation on our projects. Mechanical Insulation is thermal insulation used on piping, equipment and all types of mechanical systems, including boilers, HVAC systems and ducts.

Job Description

Candidate performs skilled and semi-skilled insulation work on commercial construction and maintenance projects using tools and equipment common to the trade.

Work Experience – Installer should have 1 year minimum experience and on the job training or equivalent classroom training. Installer should be proficient in installation of all common materials.

Job Requirements

  • Secure common insulation materials to pipes, ducts, & equipment
  • Experience installing firestop materials (Certified a plus)
  • Weather proof and finish insulation with field applied jackets and coatings
  • Insulation and vapor seal for low temperature installations
  • Read and interpret correctly job orders
  • Operate lifts
  • Unload and store materials – keep materials orderly
  • Cleanup Project continuously
  • Follow safety precautions and make sure other workers on project work safely
  • Coordinate with other trades
  • Must have interpersonal skills for dealing with multiple problems and people
  • Shop math skills for figuring areas and amounts and ability to read a rule
  • Self-starter capable of working on own without daily supervision
  • Travel to multiple job sites within Front Range
  • Other duties as needed
